Except the size… because it is one of the smallest campsites in Ardèche that we are talking about here.
This campsite near the famous Pont d’Arc with 40 pitches has assets that will surprise more than one camper. Located in Vallon Pont d’Arc at the foot of the ruins of the Château du Chastelas and on the edge of the GR 4 – a famous hiking trail – our campsite with swimming pool, chalets, wooden cabins, children’s games, etc. is located on the side of a hill shaped into landscaped terraces and rocks.
Its advantages: first of all the calm, the great calm, far from the roads. This is a dead end. Then comes the beneficial shade obtained by large trees planted there for many years. Then there is the breathtaking view of the cliffs and forests that run along the Ardèche. The visit ends with a south-facing exposure where the solarium overlooking the swimming pool finds its place and its interest.
Like any campsite, there is a snack bar, a small bar, and well-supervised outdoor activities with qualified service providers. There are partnerships such as the one with the canoe rental company – l’Arche de Noé, 5 minutes away on foot… The quality label which was awarded to Camping le Vieux Vallon, includes very detailed specifications which had to be met by presenting the existing building or by building new.
The team focused on the welcome, especially its personalization, its family atmosphere, the safety of children. It’s a campsite, you might say! It’s true. But if you are looking for an establishment on a human scale, with a family atmosphere and the tourist comfort offered by all the service providers in the area, we advise you to come and stay there, at least once and you will come back.
